How about Jeep? The Navy had escort carriers (known as Jeep Carriers or Baby Flat Tops) built on liberty ship hulls (merchant vessels for you landlubbers). For those of you interested, Jeep probably came from the GP designation, (General Purpose) of the originals. (Of course there was a character in the Popeye comics called a "Jeep" too. The pipes are calling, resistance is futile. - MacTalla Mor

I like "JEEP" for a well-built contemporary kilt. The original Willie (sp?) jeep was a well-built, dependable go anywhere/do anything vehicle. You could beat the c**p out of them and they'd still run and they were low maintenance. Pretty much like a lot of the contemporary kilts available today. Sport Kilts and Utilikilts come to mind.

Wellll.... If we go by the definitions I wrote down (which were the ones in use at the time and pretty well accepted)
A Sport Kilt would be defined as a Casual Style Kilt. It retains the styling of a Traditional Style Kilt with full apron and Traditional Pleating, but uses a fabric other than Kilt Wool. It also will be machine machine sewn.

A Utilikilt is referred to as a MUG or (Male Un-Bifurcated Garment). This is the term Steven V. uses to describe his product. I did not define it so, he did. To quote Steven, "It's a skirt! Get over it."

I wear the kilt because: Swish + Swagger = Swoon.

Contemporary kilt does describe a particular modern stylel, however, if you're looking for a one size fits all short term how about "Dailys", as in "Its what I where daily"?
From what I read, even those who own multiple Tanks, don't always wear them daily. Someday I'll own some tanks, but for right now I have my Dailys.

 Cheers,
