Hey! I made a sporran out of a skunk (cased hide) and will get pics posted if my digital camera starts working again. What I did with my hide, was since it was a cased hide, was cut the tail section off and turn the hide inside out and sew up there. I also removed the head section and flipped it over sewing it there. I also sewed a liner of soft off-white deerhide. I then sewed belt loops on the underside. This worked fine for me. It looks nice IMO, if you don't mind having nipples on the underside of your sporran!
