I would just have to say that I would love to say a larger offering in the heavyweights. Definately the military tartans.

Hmmmm... A lot's changed since I last babbled in this thread. Guess I'm happy with what I've got right now. The wool Nightstalker would still probably be the thing that catches me.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

IOS would be great and a Cameron of Erracht. Maybe more muted or weathered tartans would be cool.

Nothing against my Marine bretheren, but they seem to get all the attention.
I'm dying for an inexpensive heavyweight US Army tartan.

No one should take offense that he hasn't jumped in. I'm sure he has looked in on the thread and is probably pleased that people are still contributing to it.

Hi, Jamie pretty much nailed it. SWK normally has a "hands off" policy regarding message boards- I rarely make "official" SWK posts on message boards, I prefer to participate as an individual, not a business.
As far as tartans go, SWK will probably always have a limited tartan selection, especially in the wool fabric which is not always easy to come by. Don't forget that some of our other fine XMTS vendors have tartans that SWK doesn't and they are ready to help you also.
One thing we may eventually do is rotate in specific tartans on a one-time batch basis, and when it's gone, it's gone, and then do a different one. We do track tartan requests that are sent to us, some of our best-selling tartans have been ones that got NO requests, I just liked it personally and thought others might also.
Some folks have actually been quite upset with us because we didn't have some truly obscure tartan already made in their size on the shelf.
Feel free to contact us directly if you have any other questions.

I'd go for the 'Rainbow'/'Freedom" (?) in PV. great contrast to the usual Tartans.

The more I think about this, the more I like it. That would probably work out to three or four new tartans for the Standard / Thrifty line each year, and that would insure you an income stream from me, at least!
