It looks like it's more for a punk look than anything. (Not trashing it, just sayin.)

In my opinion, please put your $26 in the bank and save up for the real thing.
Better is such a subjective word. No reason to feel bad for someone, as I'm sure we've all had our "look" that we thought was cool, but someone else didn't. Hell, being an 80s child, it was guaranteed for me. I look back at old pictures and wonder what I was thinking. Instead of laughing and ridiculing, though, why not go up and introduce him to the site or suggest alternative places for him to get more kilts. He might not know where to get another $50 kilt and can't afford anything more.

Well put 12stones, I will do so in the future. However, I am a traditionalist, and I get a little too fired up sometimes.

I am one of the people who like the Tripp, or Hot Topic Kilts.

You really cannot get any sort of modern style kilt with cargo pockets for as cheap as a Tripp one. I do have a Stillwater Thrifty as well as a couple of Utilikilts. I am much more comfortable wearing my Tripp kilt around town then my SWK. The main reason I like the Tripp kilts are the large cargo pockets, they are even larger then UK pockets. The pleats are even sewn in on the Tripp kilt, I hate having to worry about the Thrifty's pleats getting messed up. No, the Tripp kilt will not last nearly as long as my UKs, but for me, it is a better value then a SWK.

Ok - I'd never wear one - but I'm not the target market for this style kilt. As others have said - I think we need to use some care when discussing kilt options. Acrylic, PV, Wool, Tank, Jeep (sorry Steve), or whatever... we all have our preferences and our addictions.

    Thanks for letting me quack.

Oh, did we decide on "Jeep?" Funny! At $26, does that make it a Yugo?

Sure it is. And you're really stickin' it to the Man hanging out at the mall, too.
