Barb, do what you need to do ... (i'll just experiment in the meantime...) So all is good.

Needles shouldn't be a problem. Cutting the stuff, however, is a challenge. It laughs at normal scissors and knives. I was making some wicks for some fire toys out of it. In the end I had to resort to some EMT shears to trim it to length.

As long as I am scheduling the 'extra' hours in her day, I believe this would help the greater majority of people. Where as, her continuing to sew kilts will only help the select few lucky enough to be on that very long list of elite kilt wearers.

Better yet, I believe that while I am scheduling her, I'll add a class in my area so that I might learn from the master and then aid in the writing of the afore mententioned text. (how very none-selfish of me)

I finished my first Xkilt last night and reread the recent thread on box pleating as well as the Xkilt manual and my download of the Glover booklet. I ended up doing it wrong, stitching too much, tearing out, never really able to find instructions that made sense. It turned out alright in the end.
I know, pictures to follow, I took them but haven't the resources to post them from Car week in Monterey.

I often fantasize about not having to sleep. It's amazing what I could get done while the kids (and, more importantly, the husband) are asleep for 8-10 hours. I could...
