You have a point, but copying a tartan that was created for charity is a little low.
I was always more sympathetic to his highness Prince Charles. The problem with their marriage was that he is an intellectual and she, alas, was not. Americans have characterised Princess Diana as a kindergarten teacher, but she was a nursery school teacher. In America that would be pre-school, not kindergarten, and she taught pre-school because she lacked academic qualifications such as a degree. There's nothing wrong with not being bright, but IME a big difference in IQ is a problem in a relationship.
Prince Charles wears a kilt, too, although I can see that might not endear him to the Scots. Perhaps when he's eventually king all the English will don kilts!
