You missed the point of my message; while the post-Independence armies of India and Pakistan (not forgetting Nepal's Gurkhas, who serve the British, Indians, Singapore and the Sultan of Brunei) have adopted the pipes and some aspects of Highland regimental kit, the kilt is not one of them.
