Which would be the better kilted outing?
Scottish Fling at PA Ren Faire September 20
or
Celtic Classic at Bethlehem September 27.
Haven't been to either before . Bethlehem is at least free which has a certain appeal to this Scot (stereotypes be damned ).
Advice from previous event-goers would be much appreciated.

Ah, tough one.
They are both good.
Personally, I'd hit the Celtic Classic.
We are getting a group together for the Oct 17th weekend at the Ren Faire. Gonna make our own Scots Fling kilted weekend!

You have no idea, Her and Tony together are bad enough. But throw in Tony's wife and who knows who else. I don't even want to think about the trouble they'll get in....

I have heard that the Celtic Classic at Bethlehem is quite an event. My wife and I were planning on attending this year. I am pretty sure that many xmarkers have attended in the past and will chime in with more detail.
I already hit the PA Ren Faire this summer for the Celtic Weekend which wasn't bad ... but it wasn't that great for such a high admission price. Bethlehem is free ... which appeals to me! After all, my Grandfather used to say that in Gaelic 'Mackay' was translated into "If it's free, I'll take two"
