I think we'd agreed that the weave lines go one way simply due to manufacturing errors on the back side.
There is no right/wrong side per se.
And as celtic cowboy rightly mentioned, im sure the original kilt wearers/weavers wore their garments not precisely thinking about whether the fabric was right/wrong side out when laying on the ground pleating/folding their great kilts, hehe
good looking material by the way, shame we dont have JoAnne in the Louisville Metro area, the one large fabric store closed a few weeks ago (Baer's) and Hancock Fabrics doesnt carry anything worth mentioning
