Albannach Tartan

Hey you lot!

I was wondering, does anyone know what tartan the band Albannach wears? I'm not very good at identifying tartan personally I can tell Isle of Skye from Royal Stuart and that is about it.

I think they have their own tartan. The Albannach Tartan... I'm not sure what it looks like, though.

It is Finlaggan (lord of the Isles) tartan according to Jamie the
lead singer.

* Not the Morrison (clan) tartan though it is similar. That one is ITI # 998 and dates from 1747. The Morrison is a Clan/Family tartan which does not have an alternative name (ie Morrison Red) though some call it that since there is a Morrison Society tartan ITI # 1083 which has a lot of green in it whose alternative names are Green Morrison or Hunting Morrison.


* Albannach wears the Finlagan tartan, ITI# 2564, whose alternative name is Freedom. It is a district tartan designed in 1999 by Gordon Covell. It is copyrighted by the Islay Wollen Mill, therefore a registered design.
