No, absolutely, it doesn't rain everyyday. In fact, in ten years of practice, I've rarely been bitten. In the past week, I've been bitten twice. On Tuesday, the bite was no big deal, healed by Thursday, but in the face. But, a bite in the face, admittedly a big deal for women. Then, on Friday, a major bite, in the palm of my hand, requiring 4 sutures. It makes me wonder, what hormonal influence is there on my dog bite wounds?!

When I was pregnant, I seemed to be able to do everything I pleased without any problem, then all was up to grabs. What's the deal?

I will heal fine. Marybe with some permanent nerve damage to my lateral pinkie finger. Probably no big deal for kilt making. Still, no big deal.

I thank you all for your concern.

    Be well,

Hmm.. sorry to hear about this. I hope you heal quickly and everything returns to normal. I prescribe a hot bubble bath followed by drambuie in front of a fireplace.

Perhaps its time to get Sinbad and Xena a new sister or brother? That might bring back your invulnerability power.

Lateral pinky finger? Does that mean you have a medial pinky finger too? Just how many pinkies do you have?!
Seriously, though - I hope you feel better soon. From personal experience I know that bites on hands are not the most pleasant things. But it could always be worse - the two I went to the emergency room for, I was taken care of by trainees ("Miss, the anesthetic stays in the arm - it shouldn't be squirting out the wound like that.")
