    Hi-di-ho neighbor
You look great. I love the doublet. I'm not much of a fashion person but, you look great regardless .

We just got our power back on. My fire station was out of power for 4 days as well. So, I feel your pain . My Grandpa lives 2 houses away and, my parents live 5 houses away from me and, they are still without power. How did you guys fair . . any damage?

I understand that. After the storm, the only thing that had power was, the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market (grocery store) and, everyone was there charging cell phones and anything else that was needed. Wal-Mart was very gracious in allowing people to charge their items. We were lucky enough to have a power inverter and, were able to charge our things without having to go out.

We live in PRP. Luckily, no damage to our home (other than 2 window screens are missing). The guy next door had a tree smash his car. My dad and grand-dad live a few doors down from me and, they suffered minor damage. On one side of our street, there are all of our homes and, the other side is LG&E. Usually, our power is back on really fast. But, this time we were out for 5 days. I feel very lucky compared to many others .

We've been cutting trees and hauling debris for 6 days now and my hands, arms and legs feel it . . :crap:. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday my engine company was a tad bit busy with runs, for obvious reasons. Wednesday on, we slowed down quite a bit. We had to remain on duty for a few days. Luckily, no one was hurt too badly. Although, we did have one guy get hit in the head by a 6 inch thick limb that fell on him. EMS transported him before we could get an Engine on scene, thank goodness. Throughout our fire district, nothing traumatic happened, other than we lost a church to fire during the storm. With 80+ mph winds, all we were doing doing was, spitting in the wind trying to put water on it. We did have to send one of our Firefighters to the hospital with minor injuries from battling the fire . . he's OK though.
