    The Welsh say he was from Wales. The Scots claim he was from Strathclyde. :-)

    I don't think there is enough evidence to say for sure where in Britain he was from.

    I think a lot of historical religious figures are mistakabley claimed by one nationality or another. Although St. George was Turkish, wasnt he?
