When TO and when NOT to wear a sporran?

Being a traditionalist kilt-wearer I would wear a sporran whenever I wear the kilt.

1. Looks good, and in my opinion the kilt looks almost incomplete without it.

I am still new to the kilted world and, I am like Phil and Galb . . it just doesn't feel right, to me, to not wear a sporran.

I don't participate in games and such so, I don't have to worry about that . Like Cat, I can see taking it off while lounging around the house. But, if I plan on heading outdoors . . I'll definitely have one on.
