I was sat in my Swedish chair from Ikea, watching news about the USA on my TV set from Japan, on a TV channel owned by an Australian company. I was drinking my coffee from South America, eating my Swiss breakfast cereal, I got dressed in my western jeans, put on my Aran Sweater, my Whites boots from Seattle, and my Australian Driza Bone coat, and went to work in Korean car, with fuel from the middle east, whilst listening to German Punk rock on the radio (Ramstein). I own (but dont wear) Bermuda shorts, I have an Hawaiian shirt (drinking shirt) and I would think that most of my T shirts come from somewhere in the far east. My motorcycles are German and American.
So why exactly do you have a problem wearing something from Scotland just because your not Scottish? If I worried about not having a connection to a particular country for something I would have to walk everywhere naked and starve !!
Life is too short to worry about what other people think.
