The picture of me in the dress is a hire item from cornovi, this knocks spots off that, the fabric I think comes from a different mill it feels more sturdy, the three straps are the wider than the ones on the hire kilt, and it just generally feels better, although I am not having a go at cornovi I am sure the made to order are better than the Hire ones anyway.

Only took her a couple of weeks, and incorporated some nice features, extra two belt loops, and nice little credit card pocket at the top of the apron (my idea copied from 21st century kilts)

Being ex military wanted the pleat to the stripe. Especialy as it repeats the black and white of the St Piran flag (Patron Saint of Cornwall) never seen it done with the Cornish tartan and thought it would look good, I think I was right.

Seems to me that it will go with black just fine, and since the Cornish rugby shirt is saffron and black, and just about every t shirt I own is a black one, don't see much of a problem there, and those that aren't black are normally red which should also go ok.
