Excellent job. I myself prefer the handstitched look as opposed to sewing machine. Who cares how even the stitches are. When you think about it even the machine stitched ones start to distort over time and are no longer even. Nice take on a classic sporran. I love working with leather. Great job and better than what can be bought for that style, price range, and for $25-, a little bit of time. No comparision !

    Great Job!

I have seen a tool that punches multiple holes, looks sort of like a dinner fork with the ends of the tines sharpened. If I ever try sewing leather again, I'll use something lije that that to mark the stitches. Won't be perfect, but then hand made is never as even as machine made.

Indeed it is, perfect size and the drawings are to scale with one another.

Great job, I'm jealous. I recently made myself a sporran as well. Money being tight, it was made from remnants of an old leather coat and a leather skirt, with lacing taken from an old leather belt. Doesn't look nearly as nice as yours, but it feels great to do-it-yourself!
