Frugal Corner not responding...
Sorry if this is in the wrong place, though I saw no other appropriate section to put it in.
Back in May a number of people were giving mixed opinions of Frugal Corner kilts. I decided that I would like to be able to give information based on my own experiences, so I purchased a couple kilts from them. The ones I wanted were not in stock, and so I placed an order knowing full well it would take roughly 12 weeks. I gave them 15 just to be polite. Well I emailed them and asked about my order, and they promptly responded to me asking me further information about my order. I gave them a copy of my receipt, and have not heard back from them. I've emailed them a half dozen times in the past month, with no response. I've called their store about as many times, and have yet to speak with anyone. Does anybody know what the deal is with this store? I'm about to file a claim with Paypal

Jamie,
I am sorry you are having trouble with your order and contacting The Frugal Corner. One of the owners does visit this site and will hopefully see this thread and respond.
By the by, I think that "General Kilt Talk" would be better place for it and have moved it for you.
Cheers
Jamie

Well, I'm sorry to hear that their customer service doesn't seem to have improved.

Once again, I have to sadly state that I will only order from vendors which say they have the item in stock, or a very few that I know make the item to order themselves. Without naming names (it is still an ongoing problem with this patrticular vendor), I will not order anything that is is either not in stock, or not made "in house." I know it limits my choices by quite a bit, but I would rather get the item in a timely manner than to have to constantly harass them about non delivery.

Normally I agree 100% with you. At the time I placed my order there were a lot of...biased opinions on both sides regarding Frugal Corner. I placed this order to form a more objective opinion, so to speak.

That's good to know - I had planned on buying my next kilt from them, but maybe I'll rethink that now.

I know some people have had trouble, but I had the pleasure of meeting Mike at the Wisconsin Highland Games this summer and he was great. I don't know what's happening at their end, but I've never had any problems with them.

I have a few FC kilts and I like them and have had no difficulties.
It’s a shame that they keep getting themselves into these service/communications messes.

I sent them another email yesterday attempting to reach them, and asked for a refund. I attempted to file a complaint through Paypal only to find that because the transaction is older than 45 days, they will not do anything. So if I don't get a response from FC by tomorrow then I'll have to take it up with my credit card company it appears. Thus concludes my previous objectivity

Just thought I'd post an update.
On Friday morning I sent Frugal Corner a final email stating that if I did not hear from them by the end of the work day I would be filing a fraud complaint with my credit card company. I quickly received a response from the company apologizing for the delay, informing they now have those items in stock, and asking if I still desire the paid for garments. I stated that I would still like them sent to me. It is now the end of Thursday, and still no kilts...
