There have been at least a couple of threads on period leg wear (wrappings and footless socks) - I'ld list them, but my search fu isn't working too well this morning. I'm sure someone will point them out.

Okay, I think I've corrected the mistakes. I recognized Mr. Newsome's articles, but not his name. I'm getting the idea that he must be getting plagiarized fairly often, or maybe I just wasn't paying attention to the by-lines at scottishtartans.org.
I appreciate everyone's taking the time to comment for me.
Itagne was the smarter brother, but also the lazier and less successful one. Also the smartass. Hm... looks like I picked up the wrong nick all those years ago on alt.fan.eddings.
