    Thanks for the tip, Sydnie7, you are quite right, with the white stripe centred at the front the belt loops are centred at the back. Here is a re-take of the photos with the kilt turned round accordingly.



    and the profile shot, showing where the fringe ends up, maybe a bit further round than on some of my other kilts but perfectly acceptable.
