Gosh, that may explain it my wife is Norwegian, Russian and Alaskan Native heritage. Cold, Colder, and coldest environs not the place to go kilted.

    My reply -

to give you an idea how my Significant Other feels about it, she's still after me to finish my reverse kinguisse pleated woodland camo kilt!

She even purchased me a "Joe's Crab Shack" tie dye t-shirt to wear with my black wool shadow tartan SWK. Still not sure I will try that combo-I would hate to cause that much blindness (from the t-shirt ... it's a retina scorcher).

Well, my wife (like many other comments, posters have stated about their wives' responses), thinks a man in a kilt is sexy. I only have 1 kilt and, she absolutely loves it. Of course, her heritage is Welsh and Irish so, I think its easier for her to accept. She usually is the one selecting what it is I get. That's because I have too many choices . Sometimes, I wonder if she is more excited about kilts and kilt accessories than myself (not that I'm not excited about them though).

My Lady was seriously worried that there would be negative comments and trouble. I first wore the kilt in public coming home from the Maryland RenFair last year, and she was very nervous. Now that she realizes that most comments are positive, and I can suavely handle the occasional negative, she enjoys it. The somewhat smug expression on her face when she is on my arm seems to say, "Eat your heart out, ladies, he's mine!" Does my already healthy ego worlds of good!

My wife loves to see me in my kilt. Her fathers family are from Barbados and when i wore it to her sister's wedding it was the first time many of them had seen a real live kilt wearing Scotsman, they couldn't get enough. Now when I don't wear it to formal family functions they are upset. I haven't reall wore any of my kilts casually but I would like to give it a try sometime soon.

When my wife and I first joined the local Scottish society I didn't wear a kilt and didn't plan on it. However shortly thereafter I decided to get a kilt and my wife was extremely supportive. We were both accustomed to seeing kilts by that time. She still likes for me to wear the kilt.

When my youngest daughter was in high school she didn't want me wearing the kilt except to Scottish functions. I told her if she ever got into trouble at school and I had to come to the school I would be wearing a kilt. I didn't need to do that since she has always been a good student and we never had any problems. Now she attends Lyon College in Arkansas which has a Scottish studies program and the school band is a bagpipe band. Kilts don't bother her now; she was even proud to correct a student wearing a kilt with the pleats in front saying her dad wears a kilt and she knew the pleats are worn in the back.

I only have the one kilt and my wife and I would loive to get me more, that alone should tell you how she feels about it, and she give me kilt checks all the time when i'm wearing it. If Money was not so tight I would probably go kilted Full time I know that she would not mind. Also my 5 year old Daughter does Highland dance so she knows what a kilt is and I've surprised my wife and her parents with how much of it I've picked up just by watching, Daddy Daughter Fling here I come.

My wife bought me my first kilt from Utilikits (a black mocker) and before that was shipped to us we went to the Virginia Ren Fair to buy a standard UK in tan. when my B-day came along in July, she got me another UK Mocker (in gray) and an Amerikilt in green. Let's just say she started my obsession
