is when the Maoris comes for an exhibition and smokes the Canadian team
forgot about this one.
People tend to forget that the NZ Moari team is like a "shadow" all black team, and have given a few lessons to some big name overconfident national teams in the recent past, alot of those guys have been all blacks, are about to become all blacks or possibly will be at some stage in their futures...

So, tomorrow England play the All Blacks and the English actually expect the Welsh, Scots, and Irish to be cheering for them.
There'll be many an All Blacks shirt around She Bu tomorrow that talks with a Welsh accent.
I think that the "Celtic Fringe" will be ardently hoping that the Kiwis can make it a Triple Humiliation following on from the successes of the Wallabies and the 'Boks in thrashing the English.
It kind of reminds me of the Stereophonics' song "As long as we beat the English...".

My brother-in-law just recently saw his first Rugby match (in the flesh, not on TV). He was a former Big-10 football (USA style) line backer (some 50+ years ago), and was stunned! He remarked afterwards that US football players are wimps compared to the Rugby players! I just smiled, (having spent my formative years in Ireland) and told him I agreed. (I never played Rugby, just Cricket, and a little Football (soccer).

I think you were probably right. But it's kind of sad that so many people have to bask in other peoples glory because they have none of their own.
