doing business (AKA.. New Kilt Pin)
Has any one ever done business with this company? They have this kilt pin that I would like to buy but I would like to know if the company is reputable.

By examining the EXIF data in the image, I cleverly discerned you are talking about this company . . .

. . . so now people can answer your question

p.s. They're located in Seattle, accept phone orders, and tell you how to get in touch with them multiple ways. All good signs. Nice stuff - I might try a small order myself.

(you bummbed me out, I was really looking forward to seeing some good exif usage, thought I might learn a new trick for macro shots. )

Gaelsong is fine; I've ordered gifts from them before w/o problem.
However, do look around a bit more online -- I believe I've seen this pin available elsewhere, perhaps a bit less expensive.
It's a nice-looking pin... one I've been thinking about picking up myself for a while now.

A cursory look online yields 2 other vendors for this product:
http://www.peninhand.com/celtic-jewe...e-kilt-pin.php
and
http://stores.theirishjewelrycompany...tle/Detail.bok
The first link looks to be the artist's (Maxine Miller) own site, selling for about what you could get it for at Gaelsong (~$60); the Irish Jewelry Company looks to be significantly overpriced by comparison ($99) -- tho I can't vouch from experience in either case.
You can't go wrong ordering from Gaelsong, as I said, but if it were me I'd buy from the artist directly.

Just got their mail-order catalog...they're weathy enough to produce and mail a 52 page color catalog. Never ordered from them though. Guess they exchanged mailing lists with another Scottish goods distributor to get my name and address.

I've ordered several things, from books to jewelry to music, from them and have never had even a hint of a problem with Gaelsong. A wee bit overpriced on some items, but good stuff and good value.

I've seen the same hidden cup flask at another site for half the price they have listed.
