The factor today was when my Web mail's spam filter announced it had caught one! Turned out to be a notification from State Board of Equalization (aka CA state tax authority). . . could have been if I hadn't learned years ago to never trust spam filters. Now to figure out how to turn off that obviously useless one!
I don't get emails from the gov, but capital one was sending me credit applications about every other day, and that was after I demanded off their list.

Only a few for the new business, go figure.
