Any band can have turnover. I saw Battlefield Band here in Fairbanks several years ago (good gracious, it must have been 7 years, now that I think on it!) and was very pleased. The lead singer told the story behind his song Beaches of St. Valery and it has been one of my favorite tear-jerkers ever since. The whistle player had a tune he named 100 Rolls after an amusing story of being back home and doing some shopping for a friend's mother, where he assumed she must be giving a party when she wanted 100 rolls. She saw all the bread and asked "where are my loo rolls?"
They were not much for stage flash, but I really enjoyed seeing that they are real people, with real lives and real personalities.
If the tickets are not outrageous, I'd say go ahead and see them.
