I never thought I'd see the day...........
............. when I would have to give up my own research and appeal for help from my kilted brethren - but that day has dawned!
Sadly I just do not have the time at present to continue looking for the name of the tartan I illustrate below, but I do need to know what it is and am hoping someone might recognise it without having to research and check it out.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Take care,
Ham.

Ham
I think what you have there is the MacPherson Clan Modern tartan
Here is the Lochcarron page with it

And here I am in it

I would never have got it from your photo Hamish even though I have one (the colours looks so different) - recognised the tartan on Glen's pics right away!

Anytime Ham, anytime. Although this may just be a bit much colour for you as you tend to go for the weathered tartans.

The colours in my photo are very close indeed to the original sample I have, Trefor, but the striking differences are possibly what was throwing me and frustrating my search. The blue in Glen's kilt is prominent whereas, in the sample I have, it's the red that dominates. Different weavers have different ideas, as we all know (I've no idea who wove the sample), but the differences here are considerable.
Thanks also for your input.
Take care,
Ham.

Thanks Glen. Actually, it is not for me to wear, but you are SO right about the colour! After all, I am something of a shy, retiring sort of chap and would not want to stand out in a crowd - I know you understand!
Take care,
Ham.

Not meant as a post! I meant to send a PM, and highjacked a thread by mistake! Sorry!
