That is so cool! There's a lot of things I notice. First, most of them are not wearing ghillies. Second, everyone is wearing a Tam or Balmoral. Third is all of the day plaids, and of course there's all those great cromachs!
These guys are what I base my style off of.

In the 30's everyone wore some sort of hat. Especially at any kind of outdoor event.
I did notice the ribbons are tied in a bow.
