I never did get the issue with a kilt as part of a costume. Reenactors do it all the time. Not to mention the fact that pants get used for the same thing. If you're offending by the idea of using a kilt as part of a costume, then you're just too sensitive.

Yeah, but it seems different since it's not a week or so before Halloween. Which is odd I think, but reaction is different it seems at this time of the year.

True. People think it's a Christmas thing this time of year.

I recommend fifty lashes with a wet noodle, applied by Laird Panache in a pink Kilt
I don't think the Kilt Police are on patrol at Christmas time. Any excuse to wear a Kilt is a good excuse. Enjoy!

Yes, my son, we all stray from the path of kilting. Just remember from where you come, and you will be welcomed as a breathren of the kilted, again.

Thanks for the vote of confidence.
Amongst some 400 revelers, I was the only one in a kilt... ... and a great time was had by all. Mind you, there were a lot of highly creative and unique outfits.
And I realized much later after I posted that all the kilties who go to RenFairs in the US are, of course, in custome. So duh to me. At least I was able to catch the train home without having to change. Not all of the attendees would have been able to do that...

Na... Now that I think about it you should have gone in a toga.
Glad it all worked out, and you had a good time.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

I like.
Oh, and pics to come. I've got to find the one someone else took of me...
