Occasionally I wear sweatpants in the shop in winter when it's cold out (on days when the shop is not open and I am working in back). I find that I tend to sweat 'below the belt' MUCH MORE when I wear pants b/c all the hot air is trapped in the garment. When you wear a kilt, it's much more 'breathable'.
