    I require two kilts because black does not go well with brown in many cases; although, I think my wool kilt has a brown with enough red in it that I could put it with black. It does have brown straps, though...
    I will plan on staying with the two kilt system; though I have had to rethink my plans several times on which kind and tartan of kilt the second will be.
    I don't wear a kilt often enough to be in a big hurry to buy my second wool kilt, however.

    * The black vs brown happens to be an issue with all of my clothing, so I guess it is a natural extention of that problem. *
