OK, lads and lassies! Matt Newsome and I have written a doc on how to make a traditional box pleated kilt. The instructions are too long and have too many illustrations to post as a tutorial here on XMarks, so we've made the instructions available as a free pdf download that can be viewed using Acrobat Reader. ***Please note that these instructions are supplementary to the book The Art of Kiltmaking. For instructions that are the same for box pleated and knife pleated kilts, you will need instructions that are in The Art of Kiltmaking. Thanks for the hard work! In 2009 I will make at least one kilt, and maybe (if I like the process) I'll make one with box pleats...
