Got an e-mail response from Bilt Kilts. Hey, they answered my questions!

Thanks for your interest in Bilt Kilts. Bilt Kilts are closed with domes (snaps) there are 4-6 of them depending on your size. They work great and keep your kilt on very well. Also we have belt loops in the waist band so a belt is always a suggested option as well.

In regards to the tartan. The tartan is wool 100% pure wool made by Lochcarron mills of Scotland.

The twill kilts are not lined with interface at all as they are materials similar to those found in pants. The tartan kilts do have interface just on the waist band but could be added to the whole kilt if wanted for an additional cost.

Bilt Kilt's are a line of custom kilts and allows the consumer to build their own kilt and we do the work. We have set costs for kilts but additional features can be added or changed for an additional cost.

Did you have a specific Kilt in mind? we would be happy to give you more information on that kilt. Did you have a specific idea for a kilt? we would be happy to work with you and see if we can make that idea come to life.

Not really to my liking from what I can see on the Bilt web site.

for almost the same price I can get a Canadian Custom Kilt and be happier with it over all. At the prices they are asking it's just not that attractive to me.

However the Velcro belts look like a good value as do the straps, Next time I visit TO I might have to take a trip to Barrie.
