Formal sporrans are a good bit less "baggy" than the one in the book. They are usually fairly less roomy, traditionally that is. They also usually have a little "bling" to them whether it's metal rivets placed in a pattern or a full blown metal cantle at the top.

Peruse this sporran page and see what features appeal to you and head in that direction

Thanks. I have an idea as to which way I want to go. I just don't know where to start. Do I use the same 8oz leacher and just put the fur over it? Or do I use a different material to give me the shape of the sporran. That is kind of what I am looking for.
