15% off discount code Burnetts Struth
It sems that Burnetts & Struth have been busy lately since they opened their new web page. 16oz casual kilt for $199 cdn sale has expanded to include several more tartans, including the popular leatherneck. And this morning I get an email coupon in the mail for 15% off with a coupon code that has unlimited number of uses but only one coupon per purchase. I think that means that you can use this coupon to get 15% off your entire purchase, either online or in store, but you can't use it in combo with any other discounts. It can be used by any number of people, but expires on Feb 15. The coupon code is 62a180 and gets entered into the appropriate place on checkout to get the discount.
Using this coupon brings the cost of that casual sale priced kilt down to about $136 US after the discount and exchange rate compensation (plus shipping of course). Not bad for a good quality custom made machine sewn casual in any of a large variety (3 and a half pages worth) or tartans.
Happy hunting, errrh, shopping.

OK, call me stupid, but I can't find info on their site about these kilts. I know they are "casual" but I don't see their definition of casual. Are they wool? Are they 4-5 yard? Are they light, medium or heavy weight? Common sense says they are 4-5 yards and light weight. Anyone see somewhere on the site where it tells you? BTW, I really like that Highland Heritage (click on swatch to enlarge for better view). Thanks for any help.

Here is part of an answer (from their FAQ area):
A Casual kilt uses 4-5 yards of material and is completely machine sewn. So Balmoral is a top of the line Kilt and a Casual Kilt uses less material so costs less.

They were quick to get back to me. Here's the info: 100% worsted wool from Lochcarron of Scotland in 13 oz. They are 2.25 yds/2.05 metres. Seemed like not much fabric but I did a search on xmts and found another post that said they use 2 metres double width or about 4 metres single. So basically it looks like about 4 1/2 yds. I think that Highland Heritage may have my name on it. Man this stuff hits all at one time!! Just got thr MOD Blackwatch on EBAY-UK, Rock's Warrior tartan is calling too! Let me sleep on it. Baby, Baby let me sleep on it!
