Towards the end of the evening, it was time for the traditional X-Marks group picture.
The Ladies.

And the gents.

Take home a table decoration and some great memories until next year.

That's it from me (for now.)

What an excellent record - it almost feels like I was there!
Some refreshingly different innovations, especially with the Address to the Haggis!
Had me rolling in the aisles!

Sporran poster
[
And the first of the refreshments have arrived.

I was glad people liked my sporran poster. That was my summer project, taking photos of full mask sporrans at Highland Games and Celtic gatherings. The owners were gracious when I asked to add them to my "collection". If you are interested in it you could PM my husband, walkerk. I'm sure he could send you the file.

Madalyn though I'm sure you've seen the forum before I'm glad you are now an official member, as you've been un-official for a while.

Perhaps not the 'traditional' Burns Supper but a rollicking good time was obviously had by all.
It's going to be hard, if not impossible, to top that production.
As Burns so well put it, in The Dean of Faculty
But accept, ye sublime Majority,
My congratulations hearty.
With your honours, as with a certain king,
In your servants this is striking,
The more incapacity they bring,
The more they're to your liking.

It was a lot of fun. Of course we are all just mere players in a play that is written by Panache (with some help from Rab), and produced by the Amazing Madalyn. My hats off to them.

That was just brilliant! Not only the somewhat unorthodox presentation of the event itself, but also the excellent recording of it. My congratulations to all concerned. Those of us attending The Ferintosh Burns Supper this Saturday will have to look to our laurels I can see!
Take care,
Ham.
