    Totally misread you post - too many irons in the fire tonight I suppose... Well - lets back up a step... I have used a one inch nylon web belt and velcro for a left hand (inside) kilt strap. I sewed a short length of velcro to a web piece about 5 inches long and attached that to the inner apron edge. I then attached another web + velcro piece to the inside of the first few pleats on the left side of the kilt. That way I had an adjustable hidden left side kilt strap. That kilt had one visible kilt strap on the right hip.
