How was the food ?

The food was pretty good as restaurant food goes. I've been told one ex-pat from Scotland, though, that it's just not particularly all that Scottish.

Purple and Yellow are opposite each other on the colour wheel, so in theory the should work, perhaps the problem was the shimmer to the dress.

I think you're right. I've always felt that purple and green go well, and purple and yellow should be fine, but the shimmer just pushed it over the edge!
