Diced hose tops with uniform

I know diced hose are traditionally worn for formal occasions now, but I expect that has something to do with the cost. Here is a pic I stole from another thread of diced hose being worn in a casual manner.

I think it looks good and I think this same outfit would look good with brown boots as I described. In that case you could wear hose tops instead of full diced hose. If I were wearing it, I'd have tucked the sweater in and worn a belt, in addition to my brown logger boots.

With all due respect I'd say there is too much hose above the spats, however to be fair they may be not be footless hose
