    It's entirely possible Philip!

I had 8 academic children in total and if they also had 8 each then over the 16 possible academic generations to now I could have a theoretical academic descendent count of 3,518,437,208,832!

Clearly that's not possible! But it does indicate I have an extremely high chance of being an academic ancestor for just about every recent student!

    I had 8 children too

I've decided from now on I will think of you as my Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Grandfather. Or something like that anyway!

Congratulations to you, both on your tartan design, and for wearing the kilt here in the midlands.

I'm not a million miles away from you. I live near Redditch. Kilt wearers are few and far beween in this neck of the woods, so I'm delighted to find another!

Oh and by the way, welcome to Xmarks!

Excellent to find that I'm not the only Kilted Midlander! So you had any thoughts about making a Redditch tartan?! Worcestershire maybe?!

Nice tartans. I love how even on the BBC the final word is always "the question".

Really? Even in the UK that's all they can think about?

I was wearing my kilt in Kelso once and was approached by a sweet young lady who said "That's a really nice tartan". I suppose the Scottish women are just better educated!
The Kilt is my delight !
