Great pics David, looks like a grand occasion.
I do think however, that someone should have a discreet word in the ear of the Earl of Caithness's valet!

Well alright, even with my brand spanking super dooper "see more" glasses you and Martin have spotted something that I have missed. Can you let me in on the secret?

Well, suffice it to say that I prefer a rather more subtle look. Each to their own of course but, that ensemble just says 'garish' to me.

Oh right I see. As a matter of a fact, whilst to many, the Earl's outfit may seem rather loud, it is fairly normal for Highland formal(it seems to be seen more on the very west and the very north of the highlands) attire and I am not in the least surprised.

I haven't seen anything like it before I must say. I'm now better informed. Thanks for the education Jock.

To be fair, Martin, I have not seen any of the younger generation wear such attire recently. Not many could afford it(could they ever?), but I have no doubts though, in the course of time, this style of attire will be handed down for a few more generations to wear, yet.
