I make it 50/50. But you don't want an absolutely enormous inverted pleat. I wouldn't put more than 4" or so each way. A 4" pleat each way takes up 16" of fabric. If you're putting more into your inverted pleat, I'd move the center of the underapron so that you use up only about 16" in the inverted pleat. Maybe 18" max (which would be a 4.5" deep pleat each way).
