Dakota is my 4 year old Australian Shepherd mix. Yesterday, it was just below freezing in the morning, with quite a bit of frost. I had just let her in, and she followed me into the kitchen. When my wife dropped a spoon, I bent over to pick it up for her, and Dakota decided to find the answer to "the question" for herself. As I bent over, she stuck her colder than usual nose up the back of my Sportkilt and against my inner thigh. My wife said I haven't jumped as high or moved as fast since we were married 32 years ago. Kilt checks are one thing, but one from a furry friend with a very cold nose is an entirely different experience.
