What kilt do you wear hiking?
After reading over several different threads, I have been convinced that the best way to hike is in a kilt. However, I would like to have some input from some of you that have hiked in a kilt before. I would like to know what kind of kilt you wear on your outdoor adventures. I only hike in warm weather, so if you could refer to your experiences in that type of situation. Thanks for the input!

I bought a Stillwater Black Watch Economy kilt specifically for hiking. I've been quite happy with it. So far it's only one I've tried.

I wear my Amerikilt. I don't like the acrylic of the Stillwater standards- they don't breathe well. I also don't wear my USAK since it's a reletively expensive kilt.

I also hike in my Amerikilt for the same reason as stated above.
If they outlaw guns, can we go back to using swords?

What! We're supposed to wear a kilt when hiking? I wear my Freedom Kilt desert cam for the pockets (no bouncy sporran).

How much do those blow around? Been looking at those possibly as my next 'inexpensive' kilt, in case I change sizes before jumping into the expensive range.

When I used to hike I did so in either a 13 or 16 ounce "tank". Besides good boots, I was wore two pair of socks (the inner pair to wick away sweat) and I always wore cotton boxer briefs. Top gear depended on the weather, but was usually a long-sleeve tee shirt, and a pull over of some kind in case it got chilly in the hills. Overnighters and long hikes (more than three days) were a different kettle of fish...

For warm weather I wear an AmeriKilt or a Sport Kilt Hiking model.

Is the Sport Kilt hiking model the microfiber? If so, how do you like it?
