Been there, done that with the divorce and teenage kids and dating. Found the right one, married her and moved on with my life 3 years after my divorce. My teenagers left me for their mother and basically refused to acknowledge my existence, except for cashing those checks each month. My new and wonderful bride and I had a son of our own a year ago and relocated twice in the last two years or so. My ex has sinced passed away due to cancer last summer. At least one of my kids has started to reconnect but the other one is her mother's daughter, and it will probably be years if ever.
My new wife was already on board before I started down the kilted road, and so far has gone with me fairly well, although she still prefers me in pants. But she loves our son in his kilt. What's up with that?

Sorry guys no pics from my last outing, just way to busy; I think I talked for almost four hours non stop!
I had pics of my previous Scottish weddings, I told ladies about some Scottish traditions, spoke to some of our great guys in the Armed forces ( one guy leaving for Iraq in October; told him we would do a full ceremony with his buddies doing a sword salute, and I would help him get a Army Tartan Kilt for his wedding day (Rocky are you listening) for a pass the hat rate: what ever his buds thought was fair would be good enough for me); even had one that was right up Nighthawk's ally; she wanted to combine Celtic (Irish, druid et al) with J. R. R. Tolkien Lord of the Rings! Anyone speak Elvish?
Anyway, their is no myth of the power of the Kilt. I got hugs, squeezes, pecks on the cheek, even a older Lass (say late 80's maybe early 90's) told me "I love a man in real wool"; her great (maybe even great great) granddaughter, was fairly cool until I told her about the meaning of the Pinning of the Tartan and the Presentation of the Family Sword.
Turns out her fiancé is of Scottish decent and was pushing to wear a kilt but she thought is was "unmanly". Course she'd never seen a guy 240+ in a kilt and PC, with a bow tie and formal sporran! (course it didn't hurt that I was sharing a booth with two shapely ladies from a high end salon) Her words " that would be cool" brought a sparkle to her grand mams eyes. Priceless. ith:
