    Another new "Sgian Brew"

    I finally finished my second bottle opener sgian using an opener I purchased from our own Rab Gordon. I made this one for the nephew of a friend who is putting together his highland kit. Since the bottle opener sgians don't require a sheath, I thought I'd make something special to put it in when it was not being used.

    So I made a wee box out of some scrap oak...


    Inside the box is a wee bag...


    And inside the bag is the bottle opener!


    The handle is made of White Oak. The cap is Black Cherry with a spacer of 1/8" aluminum. The ubiquitous Celtic knot button adds a bit of bling.
