I don't notice the attention that I get from people any more. I have learnt to ignore them in the crowd. I don't mean to be rude, but I rarely make comeback to comments from strangers. I just ignore them and walk.

Having earphones help me to ignore the world.

If it were only that easy for me... Still, the few times I do wear the kilt, I don't mind the positive attention, and do my best to ignore the negative.

And now that I think about it, it is a little strange feeling to post a picture and there are no comments, negative or positive... Just the sound of crickets...
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

I know it's a fantasy, but I long for a day when kilts are common enough that all the turned heads, gaping mouths, pointed fingers, and doltish comments are a thing of the past.
I'm NOT overly sensitive or self-conscious. Generally I don't give a tinker's damn about other people's reactions! It's just that every so often even the positive attention is downright wearisome....
    Amen to that!

I didn't know I had to wear a kilt in order to buy another. (wink)
