St. Patrick's Day ~ Franklin, Tennessee

Ok, Mates.. St. Patrick's Celebration in Franklin, TN is only two days away and the weatherman promises a wee bit of good Scottish Weather...so come out anyway!!! Wool keeps you warm when wet and dries quickly. I'll be there all kilted up. Have put together a great kilted costume of sorts for that day to honor my Navy military Grandfathers who served in WWII.

I'm still planning on it. I'll probably be there shortly after it starts. But I won't be able to stay for the evening festivities.

I'm sorry we missed you. My wife and I got there around 1 and left at 4. We have a retirement dinner to attend tonight. I'll write more about it when I get back tonight.

As I was saying, my wife and I were there for about 3 hours. It started off kinda slow and not much of a crowd. Most people were gathered around the Irish dancers stage. There were a few food vendors, but none that I would call "Irish" food. We ate at a sandwich shop just off to the side. I only saw one other kilt in the crowd, a saffron. I didn't get any pics, not much to take pics of. A few people did ask to take mine though. The heavy rain stayed away, but there was a slight drizzle off and on. It was nice to get out, I'm glad we got a chance to go. I hate that we didn't get to see any of the rabble from midd TN.
