			Question about Dress Shirt

					* Pictures removed. *If I could ask that you overlook the white socks and other... flaws, is the shirt I am wearing the right kind of dress shirt for a kilt?

It does have a french closure that covers the buttons, though you can't seeit because of the four-in-hand tie.

 *****
Since the topic of having some kind of black jacket or vest or something with this outfit has come up, I will add this picture.

That is a leather vest and I forget why I put it on with this shirt.

Also, that is my grandmother next to me.

Looks good from here. You can also go more casual if you wish depending on the event you are attending. For example, that might be a tad dressy for a Ren fest.

To form a visual balance between upper and lower body. Is this necessary, no, and there are all sorts of examples that look fine without that framing, but it is one approach.

					Ted,
It is a nice looking shirt and goes well with a kilt.

I really think a black waistcoat or black jacket would be a great way to balance out the outfit.

While I'm not against white hose, when I look at your outfit the first thing that I see is not the the Night Stalker tartan of the kilt but the white of the shirt and hose. To me if there were more black on your top half it would balance this out.

 Cheers

 Jamie
