My Made-To-Measure Prince Charlie Jacket From Lochcarron

Ordered it up through Kathy Lare. I gotta have made to measure to fit my weird body shape. Was a three month wait, like my Argyll jackets, but worth it for sure once I laid hands on it and examined it.

Just plain first quality. Both the jacket and waistcoat are fully lined. The jacket has TWO inside pockets (I love inside pockets). And, most important - the fit is perfect.

I still need to acquire a bow tie, tux shirt, and dress sporran - a project currently underway - so left them out of the pics.

For the curious, that's the Royal Air Force tartan in 16 ounce from Strathmore Woolen Mills, hand sewn by Kathy Lare.

I ordered this PC and waistcoat through Kathy, she has a great relationship with Lochcarron, tracked the jacket through the process.

Here are pics of the waistcoat alone.

No clue when to wear the PC out here in the Canyonlands...would probably be overdressed at an evening funeral. But, gonna be wearing it from time to time just for the sheer joy of wearing it.

So weird...all these kilts and all these accessories and now that I finally own my own PC I feel more "official"....if that makes any sense....???

    Looks good Ron
As for the Tuxedo Shirt Bow Tie and Dress Sporran I'd say trolling ebay could be a good idea, I've picked up a few bow ties on ebay for very good prices, the Tux shirts are readily available on ebay as well, as are Dress Sporrans. If you are near Toronto next January you've got a spot at our Burn's Night that's for sure.

Sorry, don't do ebay....can't even get Pay Pal to communicate with me...why do business with a company you can't commuicate with...about fed up with Pay Pal, wouldn't give me the credit card option to pay with - even though I used to have it. Kathy had to bill me to get that option to come up. Meantime, no one at Pay Pal to call or even email. They have some silly machine pretending to be a person...but its a mindless machine.

Have figured out an L&M design your own sporran from Beaver fur through Matt at STM...guessing he'll be getting back to me on Monday. Have an order in for a tux shirt and bow tie with Marlow, the uniform folks. Like how they offer different sleeve lengths for the same neck size.

Quite dashing, and I like the colored hose (vs. black -- didn't mean to suggest any "lighter" option!).

    Wear it in good health!

Thanks for posting the pics, you look very nice. I was at a dinner on Thursday night with Scots of the West Valley here and there were three gentlemen (all Scots by birth) with PCs. (Actually, attire crossed the gamut for those in kilts- casual to formal, my own might have been considered more dayware- collar shirt-no tie, tweed jacket) But I digress. If the stars are aligned and you find yourself in Phx Metro, and there is a SWV function- feel invited and bring your PC.

BTW, next dinner April 23, with Oceans Apart for entertainment.

Looking good Ron, Though I would suggest your kilt to be a touch higher as we see the white shirt peaking through the bottom of the vest.
My understanding is the bottom of the vest should be around where one would've worn a kilt belt, hence the reason not to wear a belt when wearing a vest.
    Have fun with it
    Cheers
