We have a living history village near here too (Upper Canada Village). They are great fun on a fine spring day. Black Creek looks like a wonderful place to visit. Thanks for posting the photos!

    Pumper

I am digging the pumper. Did you know that we still call the piece of fire equipment that carries the hose a "pumper".

Holly cow! What an impressive collection of photos. Living history museums are such great fun, and from the plethora of photographs you surely had your share of fun.

But who was the woman in front of the Boots & Shoes store?

Fabulous pics, Glen! It has been maybe 35 years since I've been to Black Creek. It really looks impressive. What is startling to this one-time resident of Southwestern Ontario, though, is the lack of snow and a rather spring-like day. I don't think I ever saw a St. Patrick's Day without snow on the ground during all my 11 years going to school in Toronto.

I guess that's Global Warming for you. I must admit it is a relatively new phenomenon, when I was growing up the snow was much worse than it is today, of course who am I to complain? I must say I was more than comfortable in my Harris Tweed Argyll.

What a wonderful place, I'll bet the re-enactors loved you (even if your neck wear was a bit too modern and your shirt lacked detachable collar and cuffs )

    Cheers

The woman I got the photo with came up to me to see about my outfit, perhaps I'll show up in my jabot and cuffs next time.
